The Top 80 Is a world renown, tried and tested engine, famed for its, simplicity, yet unrivalled in its reliability. The Miniplane base in Northern Italy has a rack of test engines on their work benches, under constant evolution. Their fuel injection model yet to be released has already 400 hrs airtime without fault. Miniplane is a company that takes their finished product very seriously.

He entered the British Paramotor Open Competition for the first time in 2021 and came a respectable 5th as well as being awarded the Best Newcomer award.

Mike Page started flying in 1996 in the Royal Air Force as a Navigator, and got his Private Pilot’s Licence in 2001. He started Paragliding in 2018 in Bavaria and then converted to PPG in Spain in 2019. He entered his first flying competition in 2019, the British Open Paramotor Champs, where he finished second in the British rankings an

In the 2021 British Paramotor Champs he finished second overall and won the Navigation Cup for best overall navigation performance. Mike is a Member of the British Paramotor Team.
Mike specialises in long-distance flights, and chose the Miniplane Rigid with 140cm prop and 18L tank because of its long range capabilities. His longest flight so far was 4 hrs and 40 minutes, and he still landed with 4 litres of fuel! He says “I really like the economy, reliability and light weight of the Miniplane Top 80 and I’ve had great support from Miniplane UK before and during competitions”. Future plans include Icarus X UK, World and European Competitions as well as the XContest FAI Triangle Competition, aiming for a UK number 1 and a World Top 5 place in 2021.
